Thanks to feedback from youth participants and community members, we’re creating a drop-in space specifically for LGBTQ+ and ally youth who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). The group is social and supportive and responsive to youth needs and suggestions. Our first sessions were held virtually during the 2020-21 school year and were facilitated by OUT MetroWest adults of color, as well as youth peer leaders of color.
Regular sessions are on hiatus during the summer while we plan for in-person meetings in fall 2021. Those who’d like to receive updates about future Youth of Color Hangouts can sign up to receive our weekly notices here or can reach out to program manager Joel Newsome (he/they).
