Our sixth annual Come Out & Celebrate event is just around the corner! The annual gala highlights the contributions of community leaders and raises funds for our LGBTQ+ youth programs. Past event honorees include Barney Frank, Ed Markey, Janson Wu, Asa Sevelius, and Grace Moreno.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at The Verve Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick. We’ll be honoring Perry Cohen, founder and executive director of The Venture Out Project. The Venture Out Project provides safe and fun spaces for queer, trans, and LGBTQ+ people to experience the outdoors, as well as education and support to help organizations affirm their LGBTQ+ community members. In addition to his work with Venture Out, Perry is also a leader in the area of transgender health philanthropy. Along with his family, Perry has recently funded projects aiming to provide trans and non-binary people with trans-competent, gender-affirming healthcare.
