Middle School Age Programs

All programs are offered free of charge, and you don’t need to RSVP to attend middle school age programs. Meetings include check-ins, group discussions, and assorted fun activities. While programs are not therapeutic, an LGBTQ+ clinician from Advocates is on-site at middle school age programs for those youth in need of extra support. We welcome allies in this space that explicitly centers LGBTQ+ youth

All events are facilitated in English by our trained LGBTQ+ staff. If you require interpretation, please reach out to us about available options. If you have any other questions prior to attending, please review these FAQs or email our program staff at programs@outmetrowest.org.

We’re located at 160 Hollis Street, Framingham, MA, on the upper level of the ātac building. Our location is wheelchair accessible, has all gender bathrooms, and free parking. We are half a mile from the Framingham commuter rail station. We also host satellite events for middle and high school age youth around MetroWest. Please check out our calendar and join our newsletter for the most up to date information.

Nexus

Nexus is our program for LGBTQ+ middle school youth. (Queer history fact: Nexus was the first community program specifically for LGBTQ+ middle school youth in Massachusetts!) Open to youth in grades 6 through 8, Nexus provides a social and supportive space to explore questions related to sexual orientation and gender identity. Schedule: Every Tuesday (except holidays), 6:30-8pm

Drop-In

Drop-in is our unstructured program for LGBTQ+ middle school and high school youth. Join us for board games, music, books, movies, and videos in our center. Come hang out with friends and mentors! Schedule: Every program night, 6pm until the start of programs.

Satellites

We host satellite events for middle and high school age youth around MetroWest. Multiple satellite programs each month, and rotate locations, typically on a Friday evening. Please check out our calendar and join our newsletter for the most up to date information.
