Umbrella

Please check our calendar for the most up-to-date information about program topics.

Umbrella is our program for transgender, non-binary, and gender questioning high school youth. Umbrella is a social and supportive space facilitated by trans adults and peer leaders. Non-binary, transgender, genderqueer, genderfluid, gender expansive, agender, and questioning are just some of the gender identities you’ll find among people at Umbrella. We welcome allies in this space that explicitly centers trans and gender expansive youth. While Umbrella isn’t a therapeutic program, a clinician from Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is on-site at Umbrella meetings for those youth in need of extra support.

You don’t need to RSVP to attend Umbrella, and all meetings are offered free of charge. Meetings are conducted in English. If you require interpretation, please reach out to us about available options. If you have any other questions prior to attending, please review these FAQs or email our program staff.
