Nexus is our program for LGBTQ+ middle school youth. (Queer history fact: Nexus was the first community program specifically for LGBTQ+ middle school youth in Massachusetts!) Open to youth in grades 6 through 8, Nexus provides a social and supportive space to explore questions related to sexual orientation and gender identity. We welcome allies in this space that explicitly centers LGBTQ+ youth. Meetings are facilitated by LGBTQ+ adults.

Meetings include check-ins, group discussions, and assorted fun activities. While Nexus is not a therapeutic program, a clinician from Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is on-site at Nexus meetings for those youth in need of extra support.

You don’t need to RSVP to attend Nexus, and all meetings are offered free of charge. Meetings are conducted in English. If you require interpretation, please reach out to us about available options. If you have any other questions prior to attending, please review these FAQs or email our program staff.
